Sweet Auburn Historic District is a learning experience for all apartment-ites with a penchant for history. The entire district is a famously known African American Historic landmark.

This district contains specific landmarks important in African-American history such as the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site, and until a tornado in 2008 ravaged it, the Herndon Building which housed the businesses of Mr. Herndon, Atlanta's first black millionaire.
