Atlanta is full of great eateries for those living in apartments to partake in, many of which are full of upscale style and grace, but few do it as well as Pano's and Paul's, a shining star among the galaxy that is the Atlanta dining scene. It's received numerous awards over the years, including making the best restaurants list of Jezebel Magazine, Top Romantic Decor, Top Service, and Top Continental
Cuisine in the Zagat Survey, and was Atlanta Magazine's choice for "Top Atlanta Tradition". With praise like that, why go anywhere else?
Awards can only take you so far, at the end of the day is comes down to the food. Chef Gary Donlick believes in creating unique dishes, while also taking care not to scare or intidimidate the customers, and his cuisine is so delectable that it will keep you coming back for more time and time again. For appetizers, feel free to try their lobster bisque, straight from Maine, iced oysters, Ahi tuna tartare, fried Point July calamari, crisped veal sweetbreads, Hudson Valley seared foie gras, or any of the other delicious options available to awaken the pallet.
For entrees, the variety of tastes increase ten-fold, including a large selection of grilled fish, fileted right at your table, including fresh Dover sole, European bass, slow-roasted wild king salmon, Hawaiian Ahi tuna, or Maine lemon sole Francese. For those more in a poultry mood, they have fresh West Virginia Pheasant, with organic carrots, turnips, and Cippolini onions, and a rosemary garlic cream, or Maple Leaf Farm Duck Breast, with Port-glazed grapes, blue cheese tortellini, watercress and Valencia orange duck jus. They also have great veal, lamb, shrimp and short rib dishes, as well as their signature cold water lobster tail, and their delectable prime steaks.
Nothing goes down with a delicious meal of seafood or steak than a nice refreshing glass of wine, and you'll find just what you need here, with every choice you can think of from everywhere around the world, from Germany, to France, to California, to Australia. Your only problem will be trying to pick from all the delicious varietals at your finger tips.
Upscale dining is not hard to find in Atlanta, but it is hard to perfect. Apartment-ites in Atlanta should know that one place that has it down pat is Pano's and Paul's, with patrons and critics alike agreeing that it's one of the best places to eat out in Atlanta.
